What is Bold Runners?
Bold Runners is a Dutch brand creating distinctive wool stair runners, hallway runners and rugs for characterful interiors. We combine colour, craftsmanship and natural dyes to create pieces that bring personality to a home.
Can I order from outside the EU?
Yes! We ship worldwide, including destinations outside the European Union. If you would like to place an order from outside the EU, please contact us to discuss your order, shipping options and delivery details. We’ll be happy to help.
What materials are your runners made from?
Our runners are made from 100% New Zealand wool. Depending on the design and construction, they may be hand-tufted, hand-knotted or woven.
The backing of handtufted pieces are made from cotton, using natural latex as glue.

Are all of your runners dyed with natural dye?
Yes. We exclusively use natural pigments to colour our wool. Natural dyeing is an artisanal process, and the colours can vary slightly from one batch to another. These subtle variations are part of the character of naturally dyed wool.

Our runners are made in India in collaboration with skilled artisans and specialist production ateliers. We value the knowledge, craftsmanship and hands-on processes behind each piece.
Can I customize all designs and colours?
We can discuss adjustments to selected existing designs. Because our runners are handmade and naturally dyed, the available options depend on the design and the colours that can be achieved. Contact us to explore what is possible.
Will the colour of my natural dyed runner be exactly the same as the photos?
Natural dyes can produce subtle variations in tone, and colours may also appear different depending on lighting and screen settings. We do our best to represent each design accurately, but slight variations are a natural part of the process.
How do I care for a wool Stairrunner?
Vacuum your runner regularly and gently. If something spills, blot it with a clean cloth rather than rubbing it. Avoid harsh cleaning products and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight. For stubborn stains, consult a professional cleaner experienced with wool rugs.
Do you offer Stairrunner installation?
The price of the runner does not include installation, underlay or stair rods. We can connect customers in the Netherlands and London with an experienced upholsterer who installs stair runners. Installation and additional materials are arranged and priced separately.
